System Chat Prompts
So first things first. I was thinking all those System Chat Prompts on repmenu and etcs kind of comes up a little to frequent. If you change the timer on that, people would be able to see chats that are missed easily when they're focused in on the roleplaying and/or menus (which blur out chat completely whilst in it). So sometimes when they do look at chat important chat messages from other players are pushed up the chat window and thus missed. Especially important chat updates like "Raids starting/over" Sometimes people did not realize the raid was finished and thus still play with hostility and then leads to RDMin/accusing of RDM.
Possible Jobs?
I've been on a lot of other servers looking for one I like till I found this one. And they all have a lot of different jobs. So I got to try out a lot that I both like and maybe dislike.
- Hacker: The hacker had a handheld phone a lot like in WATCHDOGS and was able to hack players to see what they see and hack keypads to unlock them, but weren't allowed to raid, but raid assist in that getting them initially in the building would make them very useful and thus can charge a lot for their services. I suggest they don't have a salary at all because the payment for doing the job should be adequate. I believe this would bring a whole nother level to raiding and work. One hacker on the server would be plenty!
- BANKER: Now that we have a bank, I think we can have a banker! He'll set up security w/ the bank security. (which I think should be atleast 2 guards) And actually close the bank during after hours via Fading door the entrance and keypads. Increasing the security of the bank in that sense may encorage roleplaying such as drug dealers/mobs bringing their illegal goods to the banker for safe keeping and hired guns for these entities would look after the bank and discourage bank robberies. Tonight it seemed like thats all that everyone did was robbed the bank every time the cooldown was done
- More neutral jobs. Theres actually a lot of hositle jobs on the server. (Muggers, 2 gangs, thieves, ninjas, hitman, etc.) We got only the doc, gun merchant, hobo, and now mechanic as our neutral jobs, but I believe its these neutral jobs that make the world come to life. The RP of the world feel more like a real world, instead of a government less thief driven world. I mean is the even a hotel owner job? We got a DJ too right?? Doesn't he/she have to play music through the mic? Would it be possible to implement it a different way? How bout Bartenders? and convenience store owners? Maybe they can sell hats that most gmod servers implement. Or maybe we can have restaurants with food that actually give a slight bonus effect in some way? (with moderation of feeding so they don't just buy 50 super speed redbulls or something) Allowed one a day or somethign like that, but yeah like I said I believe neutral jobs will make teh world feel more real ^-^
THANKS FOR READING ^-^
